Handwritten warrant; originally further folded into 4 (transversely) with summary in second rear 'panel', date bottom of panel. Dated 'Tower ye 21st of Aprill 1668'

'After our hearty Comendations Whereas wee have recd. an order from his Grace the Duke of Albemarle Capt. Generll of his Maie. Land Forces, desiring and requiring us (out of his Maie. stores) to cause five Halberds, twenty six Pikes, twenty three Firelocks,twelve Muskets, one Sword, and two Drums to bee delivered unto Captaine Thomas Mansfeild, of his Excys. Regimt., the same being in lieu of Arms lost by the said Regimt. in ye suppressing of ye late ryot. These are therefore to pray and require ye forthwh. to deliver or cause to bee delivered out of his Maie. stores unto ye said Capt. Mansfeild ye said number of five Halberds, twenty six Pikes, twenty three firelocks, twelve Musketts, one, Sword and two drums; they delivering into his Maie. Stores ye broken and unserviceable Arms, in lieu thereof; they being spoiled in ye Services aforesaid for soe doing this wss. his Excy said order now forthwth. sent you. shalbee to you. a sufficient Warrant soe bidding you. heartily farewell.
